While the Analog support and vibration function isn't present on the latter RE:DC boxed version, another major difference these two copies have from each other is the boxed version has the RE2 demo disk.

You can see an RE2 advertisement on the single version. Also, I didn't show, but that is the old cover art for the singular copy behind the boxed copy's disk. You can tell though, it's obvious enough to spot.

Case in point. Capcom knew their marketing, then and now.

Wanted to include this view to showcase the single copy and the bulky boxed copy. They are leagues from each other in what feels like little time, despite it being 2026 and this singular franchise being 40 years old now. Crazy how time flies like that, yet it does really feel like an eternity since the first Playstation or Original Xbox or even the first Gameboy came out. Truly insane and so fascinating to talk about.

My original RE Trilogy still stands and still works to this day. (Yes, that's RE3 in Soviet Strike. Don't ask, it's always been like that as far as I can remember.)

Notes

  • As far as the memory card goes, everything is standard except I saw 'Gundam', 'Tekken', and 'Bloody Roar' written faintly on the first Mem. Card picture.

  • It runs normally, which is good because I paid about $250 USD for it-worth it btw.

  • I will cover Resident Evil Director's Cut-the singular copy-and the boxed, official version sometime. Seriously, the OST is strange on the former, not to mention glitchy--yes, I paid a good dollar for it, and while I do not regret my purchase, I am a bit bummed out it was glitching out Rebecca's first encounter with Chris. (Trippy.) {Secondary note: I tried looking up the glitch but came up empty handed. There's a branching path glitch somewhere, but I'll have to investigate further on that. I'll have to capture the gameplay myself. Surely I can pull that off. Right?}
